What is SECTRON EMA?
SECTRON EMA (ElectroMobility Administrator powered by AMPECO) is a software platform for managing corporate, municipal and fleet EV charging. Its technology partner is AMPECO. It is designed for companies with their own charging facilities, fleet operators and municipalities developing public charging infrastructure.
Managing stations and driver access
Administrators monitor connected charging stations, availability and active sessions in real time. Charging history, energy consumption records and tools for remote device management and diagnostics are available centrally, so information does not need to be collected separately for each location.
Charging access can be managed using RFID cards, tags or a mobile application. User management determines who can use individual stations. Drivers can view their charging history.
Costs, tariffs and power management
EMA supports flexible tariffs and automatic generation of billing records. Charging session and energy consumption data help companies monitor fleet charging costs. The system supports dynamic load management and priority charging for selected users. Available functions also depend on the connected stations and installation configuration.
Home charging and business trips
For connected home wallboxes, EMA enables companies to separate business and private charging and prepare billing records. This allows charging a company vehicle at an employee’s home to be included in the company’s records.
The SECTRON NEXUS portable charging station can also be connected to the system for charging on the road. OCPP communication transfers charging data to the central platform, allowing fixed wallboxes and portable devices to be managed together.
An open standard and compatible stations
The connection is based on the open OCPP communication standard. It enables supported stations from different manufacturers to be connected and infrastructure to be expanded across locations. The solution also includes integration with OlifeEnergy and MyBox chargers. We will verify the compatibility and available functions of a specific model when designing your solution.
SECTRON NEXUS is a portable AC charger with an output of up to 11 kW, adjustable current from 6–16 A and OCPP 1.6-J communication. It offers IP67 protection and RFID access. For fleet operations, its main benefit is bringing portable charging into the same records as fixed company charging stations.
Roaming and infrastructure expansion
The platform supports two-way roaming and integration with partner public networks. Drivers can use a shared access method within participating networks. Available charging locations and usage conditions depend on the specific roaming arrangements.
Open OCPP communication facilitates further infrastructure expansion. Additional charging points can use the existing central management of users, consumption and costs.
