LoRaWAN Gateway Robustel R1520LG (868 MHz)
Robustel R1520LG is an industrial LoRaWAN gateway operating at 868 MHz. It combines the long-range capabilities of LoRa wireless technology with 4G LTE/2G cellular connectivity and Wi-Fi interfaces.
The LoRaWAN network provides energy-efficient data transmission over long distances, even in challenging environments such as densely built-up urban areas. The gateway is an ideal solution for IoT projects in industrial environments, large-scale building management, and smart city deployments. It uses an integrated ChirpStack LoRa network server, ensuring efficient and reliable management of all data traffic.
Where Is the R1520LG Gateway Best Suited?
- Smart Building: Efficient HVAC management, including temperature, air quality, and occupancy monitoring. PoE-PD power enables flexible installation, while the integrated ChirpStack server provides network management.
- Meter Data Collection: Aggregation of LoRa data from energy meters. Secure data backup in local memory and fast LTE/Wi-Fi transmission to SCADA/BMS systems
- Logistics and Refrigeration: Monitoring of temperature and humidity in freezers and during transport. Real-time alarms and offline data storage in the event of signal loss.
Rich Interfaces, PoE Power and Cloud Integration
The device offers a wide range of connectors for integration with various industrial components. It features two Ethernet ports, RS-232, RS-485, and USB 2.0 interfaces. Support for PoE-PD technology enables the gateway to be powered directly through an Ethernet cable while transmitting data.
Thanks to the E2C ChirpStack software connector, LoRa sensors can be connected directly to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other proprietary IoT systems.
RobustOS Operating System, RCMS and '>VPN Security
The R1520LG IoT gateway is equipped with the proven Linux-based RobustOS operating system. For remote device management, monitoring, and diagnostics, it uses the RCMS (Robustel Cloud Manager Service) platform, which minimises operating costs and simplifies supervision of the entire network. '>VPN support for secure and encrypted connectivity with remote infrastructure is also included.
Rugged Industrial Design
The gateway’s robust metal enclosure ensures high mechanical durability and installation flexibility, supporting both DIN-rail mounting and direct wall mounting.
