Teltonika Gateway TRB256
Teltonika TRB256 is a cellular gateway 4G LTE NB-IoT designed for industrial applications. The great advantage of this device is the combination of Ethernet and serial communication I/O and RS232 / RS485, which allow easy integration into industrial projects.
This industrial LTE Cat M1 and NB-IoT gateway is backwards compatible with EGPRS (2G) networks. It can still be used with 2G network, however in case it gets shut down, there is a possibility to switch to LPWAN connectivity options. Dual-SIM provides backup in the event of a failure of one of the Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
This gateway supports the 450 MHz frequency band, which significantly improves LTE signal penetration compared to standard frequencies. Thanks to this feature, the TRB256 becomes an ideal choice for a wide range of applications in the M2M field, e.g. in the energy sector or monitoring.
The device is equipped with 1× SMA (LTE), 1× SMA (GNSS) connectors and a power connector. Also included are two SIM slots and a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet LAN port. The Dual-SIM feature provides backup in the event of an Internet Service Provider (ISP) failure.
The industrial IoT gateway Teltonika TRB256 in a durable aluminium case ensures trouble-free operation in industrial environments at extreme temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C.
Data security is provided by a wide range of software functions, such as SMS control, firewall, OpenVPN, IPSec, RMS. It includes also widely used protocols, such as TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6, ICMP, NTP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SSLv3, TLS, ARP, PPP, DHCP, Telnet, MQTT, Wake On Lan (WOL).
This industrial device has the RutOS operating system. It is an operating system based on OpenWRT Linux, which is a big plus for choosing Teltonika routers. Another advantage is the use of RMS (Teltonika Remote Management System). The RMS enables remote management and monitoring of all Teltonika network devices. The system allows you to change the configuration and collect information about the status of individual devices, even if the devices do not have public IP addresses.
