Gemalto prepared for the year 2019 at large

Gemalto prepared for the year 2019 at large. With its new modules, it intends to cover both high-speed LTE and highly efficient NB-IoT.

In 2019, Gemalto will continue to promote the new ENS22. You have previously read about this module on our website about its efficient use of NB-IoT technology for unrivaled battery life and easy replacement for the old module. This has become very popular in the area of smart city and metering. Other benefits include, for example, extensive connectivity or a new firmware update system, the incremental FOTA. Furthermore, the new PLAS9 module has been added for the high-speed LTE this year.  Gemalto also has introduced a new module that we'll say a little more about this year.

Of course, other innovations are planned apart from just modules by themselves. One of the most desirable modules will now be available in mini-PCIe. As a result, their implementation into existing solutions will be much faster and more efficient. Just plug the module into the slot and all of its features will be available on your device. The prepared modules are PLAS9, PLS8 and finally PLS62-W.

By the end of the year, Gemalto is planning to cover all of the available bands with its modules to give its customers the best choice for their projects. Whether we are talking about high-speed security system transmissions, payment terminals, or solutions with occasional data transmissions such as smart parking sensors or gas and electricity consumption meters.
